Sunday 30 June – Feast Festival featuring The Impingtones 😎
The High Street will be closed for the day for the Feast Festival, which this year will be rather special as The Impingtones will be singing on the High Street. What’s more, we’re centre stage! (well, that is, the stage that’s half way along the High Street 😀 )  We will be singing some of our favourite songs for 20 minutes outside the Methodist Church at 1pm, and then again at 2:15pm; times may be subject to change on the day so please arrive by 12:45. All choir members are welcome to join in and have some fun!  If you can wear something in a blue shade that would be great, but come along anyway regardless. Here is the running order of songs, so please have you music folders arranged accordingly:
1. Queen medley
2. Somethin’ Stupid
3. Lion King medley (ending with “Hakuna Matata”)
4. O Waly Waly (The Water is Wide)
5. Chattanooga Choo Choo

Wednesday 10 July from 7:45pm – Pub Night!
An informal social meet-up at the Red Lion after the evening’s choir session for all that can make it. We particularly hope that our new members will come along so that we can all get to know them.
Wednesday 17 July – Family & Friends Evening!
Following the huge success of our Friends & Family evening last summer, we plan to repeat this on the last choir session of the term. It’s a great opportunity for members to invite friends and family along to see what we get up to on Wednesday evenings! There is no charge for members or guests for this evening and the format will be the same as last year – a quick rehearsal from 6.30pm with our guests joining us at 7pm for a half hour performance followed by drinks and snacks, finishing about 8pm. Don’t miss this fun event! – see the Gallery page for a short video from 2018.
Saturday 20 July at 6pm (drinks from 5:30): Nights Not Spent Alone
A recital of gorgeous songs from Bridget Hardy (mezzo-soprano) and Ralph Woodward (piano). Music by Jonathan Dove (marking the composer’s 60th birthday), Mozart and Stravinsky. Free sparkling wine served from 5.30pm. Tickets £10/£5 (students) by emailing: ralphwoodwardtickets@live.co.uk .
Try “Movies By The Lake” for a great evening!
Movies by the Lake are showing a number of classic musicals like Grease, Mama Mia, Dirty Dancing, etc which might appeal to members of the choir. It’s being run by Mark’s son Ben – so all in a good cause! The outdoor cinema is at Stanwick Lakes, around 45 mins from Histon, throughout the summer. It is a lovely setting and an interesting place to visit (walks, bird watching, play parks for all age kids, etc). Find out more at: moviesbythelake.co.uk
New Constitution
The Impingtones has a new constitution which is now available on the Members’ Area of the website at Constitution, and details of our 2018 accounts will be available shortly (our accounting year is 1 Jan to 31 Dec). Please do get in touch if you have any questions about either. We will hold our first AGM early in 2020, perhaps we’ll call it our 2020 Vision 😀
